The Gillamoos in Abensberg is one of the oldest and largest folk festivals in Bavaria and takes place annually on the Gillamoos meadow. Here you can find information on how to get there:
By train: Abensberg is located on the Regensburg-Ingolstadt railroad line. Abensberg train station is about a 10-minute walk from the Gillamooswiese.
By bus: During the Gillamoos, the "Gillamoos Express" takes visitors safely to the festival meadow and back.
By car:
- Freeway: Via the A93 (Regensburg-Holledau), exit 49 Abensberg, then follow the signs to Abensberg.
- Federal highway: Via the B16 (Regensburg-Ingolstadt), exit Abensberg/Gaden or Abensberg/B301. In Abensberg follow the signs to Gillamooswiese and follow the parking instructions on site.
By cab: Cab ranks are located diagonally opposite the main entrance in Münchener Straße. Please note that availability may be limited during peak times.
