The festival hall
For 50 years, the Festhalle Bayernland has been an integral part of many folk festivals and fairs in southern Bavaria. The company H. and P. Schöniger GmbH has been family-owned since it was founded. Today, the owners Peter and Petra Schöniger successfully run the business of the Festwirt family. Reliability and loyalty characterize the long-standing partnership with breweries, municipalities and event organizers. Depending on the location, regional suppliers are also involved.
The Festhalle is flexible in size and can seat between 1,500 and 5,000 people. Depending on the available space and the event, the Festhalle also has a porch and an outdoor seating area, which is very popular as a beer garden, especially in the warmer months.
Our history
Founded in 1971
The founder of the company has always been a sociable person and founded the company out of his zest for life and his enthusiasm. We are talking about Mr. Heinz Schöniger, who founded the company as a sole proprietorship in 1971. Heinz Schöniger - founder of Festhalle Bayernland 1971 Together with his wife Petra, he acquired the Festzelt Oberland and later renamed it "Festhalle Bayernland".
Even though all beginnings were difficult, Heinz Schöniger continued to work meticulously towards his goal of becoming a successful festival host where guests feel comfortable, celebrate and have a lot of fun. The seasoned Bavarian often lent a hand personally, demonstrated entrepreneurial skill and established his beer tent as Festhalle Bayernland very successfully at many folk festivals and fairs in Upper and Lower Bavaria.
In the spirit of company founder Heinz Schöniger, his son Peter joined the company. True to the motto "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree", Peter Schöniger successfully passed the tent pitching examination and supported his father in all areas.

In 2nd generation
Since 2012, "Die jungen Schönigers" have been successfully continuing to run the company in the traditional way, but with new ideas and plenty of drive - true to the motto: The future is our tradition!
In the past, the company has always been modernized and further developed in terms of technology, supply, vehicle fleet and appearance with an eye to the future. This is how Festhalle Bayernland presents itself today, but also in the future, in top form, because one of our guiding principles is: Use innovations, preserve the tried and tested!
